A new project is in the works.

Since I was little, I’ve been obsessed with telling stories. Inventing a whole new world in my head; birthing character after character; letting my imagination take the wheel: I’m a sucker for adventure, and I’ve never been one to take the easy path.

That’s why, over the past year, I’ve taken some time out of blogging and publishing to come up with something bigger. Better. Something which, in my opinion, will take my writing to a new and exciting place. Something I like to call: ‘Holistic’.

My writing style has always been somewhat experimental, and the Holistic project is kind of the epitome of that. From now on, everything is connected. Everything I write, produce, draw, and design will be linked – and it’s your job to work out how. Of course, I’m not stopping with my blog. A brand-new Instagram account and YouTube channel will soon become host to an array of original work, and with a film degree course on the horizon there is potential for so much more.

For now, I’ll be using this space and my new social media to explore the world of fiction, both my own creations and the existing works that inspire me to keep on experimenting. The productions of Disney, Marvel Studios, DC Comics, and authors such as George Orwell and Margaret Atwood, have been fuelling my fire from the very beginning, so I plan to learn from the best and study every aspect of the stories I know and love. I’ll be using this blog to analyse existing novels, movies, and more, whilst also giving a bit of commentary on the original writing I post on holistic.writes on Instagram. As for YouTube, I’ll be getting in front of the camera to deliver some more informal verdicts on the great (and not-so-great) exploits of Hollywood and beyond.

Most excitingly of all, I’m also using the Holistic network to document the progress of my first ever novel. That’s all I’m saying about that for now, but who knows? Maybe you’ll find some snippets and Easter Eggs on Instagram in the next few months.

All in all, this current phase of my career is a huge step up for me. It’s an opportunity for me to not only express myself as an artist, but to grow – and, at the end of the day, that’s really what the creative industry is all about. I can’t wait to share my development and exploration with fellow writers, readers, and film fans, and I hope the Holistic project will take us to places never before seen.
